How To Make A Smoothie
Are you not much of a morning person? Do you hate having breakfast but need something to fill your biological need, however, without having to invest your resources in making a breakfast that will give you the same value (in terms of calls) but will probably waste more of your time and energy in the process? Well, guess what ?! I might just have the perfect solution for you! Practical, nutritious, quick, delicious, can be consumed in the comfort of your home or on the go… Smoothies are exactly what you need!
As Will Mcavoy put it: “The first step in solving a problem is recognizing there is one”
So now that you’re armed with this new information (that you need to start making smoothies), you’re halfway through changing your life for the better. All you’ve got left to do now is follow these 4 easy steps that will teach you how to actually make a smoothie.
Step 1: Choose your combo
Smoothies are all about mixing up different flavors that go well together. When it comes to fruit, any combo would be great. You can aim for 2 to 3 cups of any combo.
Step 2: Preparation
Before you start making your smoothie, you’ve got to make sure your base is ready. And by base I mean fruit. Smoothies come out thicker, more consistent and fresher when the fruit is frozen. You can choose to put your fruits in the freezer beforehand or simply add some ice cubes to the combo for some extra freshness.
Step 3: Lay out your tools and ingredients
When your set of fruit is ready, put it aside. Take out your blender, a liquid (Whole milk, fruit juice, almond milk for a nutty flavor, or coconut milk if you want to go tropical). Aim for 1 ¼ cup for a nice consistency. Add a ½ cup of yogurt, peanut butter or almond butter, they work as thickeners and help you get a perfect consistency (it’s optional though, you can choose not to add it but make sure you use less liquid). Finally, spice it up a little by adding some flavors like vanilla extract, honey, cinnamon.
Step 4: Mix and Blend
Combine all your ingredients in the blender and start blending until you reach your desired level of smoothness.
Step 5: Enjoy this wonder!
Serve in a big cup and style it with some fruit and a nice straw.
Take a sip and let it run down to your stomach. Take a moment and enjoy the freshness of this mouthful of pure delight and melding flavors. And get ready to kickstart your day!
This won’t take you more than 5 minutes but I guarantee it’s worth every second of it. It’s fresh, yummy, nutritious, and gives you all the energy you need for a successful morning start.
With that being said, you’ve got no more excuses to skip your morning meal!
